The Ministry Team
Wendy moved to Alton 23 years ago with her husband and 6 children. During this time she has enjoyed worshipping at Harvest Church, then St Mary’s and then joined the congregation at All Saints in January 2016. Recently she has trained for ordination with the Winchester School of Mission and was ordained as an Assistant Curate on July 4th 2021. She enjoys gardening, walking in the countryside and being with her steadily increasing family.
Martin is married to Norma and lives in Holybourne, with two daughters and three grandchildren living nearby. After a full flying career spanning forty two years mostly serving with the RAF but also on Civilian Contract flying for the Military, Martin felt called to follow a totally different path and was ordained in 2010. Martin served his curacy in the North Hampshire Downs Benefice, followed by three years of Ministry at St John’s, Hartley Wintney, before joining the Clergy Team in the Parish of the Resurrection in 2017. Martin’s many hobbies, sports and activities have come and gone, and some linger on.
Brought up in West Hampshire, Peter moved to Medstead in 2019 after many years in Derbyshire. He was ordained over 35 years ago, exercising his Ministry mainly in Derby Diocese where he served in various senior capacities including Area Dean. He holds Permission to Officiate in Winchester Diocese and considers it a privilege to be serving here in East Hampshire.
Beyond the BLS Parish, Peter also serves in Medstead. He is a Visitors' Chaplain at Winchester Cathedral and supports the Diocesan Clerical Registry.
He has been married to Ingrid for over 50 years. They share two Daughters and six Grandchildren. He likes Classical Music and his hobbies include Family Tree Research, Model Railways, stamp and coin collecting.

Peter moved to Alton in September 2020 with Elaine who is an LLM. During all his 44 year ministry his main passion has been spirituality, especially individual spiritual direction/companionship and still pursues this. He is of “all traditions and none” and has always felt called to serve the whole church more than one part/denomination.
Originally from Germany, Ingrid moved to Medstead in 2019 after many years in Derbyshire, to be nearer her children. She began her working life as a banker and before training for the priesthood, she had several years as a language teacher.
All of her service after ordination, which included running rural and urban parishes, had been with Derby Diocese until she and Peter retired down here in East Hampshire. In Derbyshire, she led a team of Pastoral Visitors and became a Foundation Governor at the Local Primary School.
She has had Permission to Officiate in Winchester Diocese for 5 years and is seeking to renew it this year. She enjoys a range of craft activities and is known for her striking greetings cards designs.

Debbie is also a Lay Canon of Winchester Cathedral and is often found there leading worship.
Philippa joined the POTR team as Parish Administrator in July 2018. She lives in East Worldham with her husband Mark, an architect, in a house designed by him. Mark is also a talented organist in his (spare?) time and plays regularly for services in POTR and the Northanger Benefice, where they worship regularly. Philippa loves to knit and constantly has a project on the go. Both Philippa and Mark are singing members of the Waverley Singers.
